Things we've learned in the last week

Here's what the baby looks like now. I personally think its only goal in its very early life is to make his mom sick... all day. How can something so small be so mean?
Actually, I've found that Pelligrino settles my stomach along with Tums. Any kind of beef leaves a weird taste in my mouth, but it's also the only thing that keeps me full for more that 2 hours at a time. Brandon is now living with a bottomless pit of a wife. He's not quite sure what to do.
We go back to the doctor on Dec 4. We don't find out the sex until after the new year. I'm trying not to plan a nursery already, but it's hard. Brandon's voting for a bug theme if it's a boy... or a girl. We'll have to see about that.

Brian and I are so excited about what you have to look forward to. Our baby girl is due in only 6 weeks, and most days I still don't believe it!

I still can't eat onions or pork chops. My "bottomless pit" periods came and went throughout the pregnancy. I found it helpful to eat a bowl of cereal or a piece of toast first thing in the morning, then eat a real breakfast before I left for work. Small snacks throughout the day were also helpful. Buy the industrial size container of TUMS. Put some in your purse, your car, your desk, etc. You never know when you'll need them. Food smells definitely bothered me, and I couldn't predict what it would be from one minute to the next. I would ask Brian to cook something, then when he put it in front of me, it made me sick. Be patient Brandon! :) Enjoy this exciting and wild ride you are starting on. It flies by.
