Proud Mama

Craziness

Long time no post. We've beens slightly distracted by Jana's wedding. It went off without a hitch. She was gorgeous.
There was no falling down the stairs upon our entrances. This was a true point of concern when we got the instructions from the wedding coordinator. We came down stairs into the chapel. This is really bad considering 3 of the 4 bridesmaids- me included- are cooridinationally challenged. Heels, poofy skirts, a crowd of people and stairs. It was a recipe for disaster. However, Dena, Louise and I made it down without a trip. Amy and Jana, the somewhat cooridinated ones, had no problem.
Congratulations J-Bird! We are so happy for you!

The Fightin' Texas Aggie Soccer Team- all dressed up. This is the first time I've ever seen them out of their shinguards!

The night before. Let's just say Jana was not happy about wearing the tiara...

Going to the chapel... in camo of course!

Little Bit!

No surprise here- Darren's sporting his attitude.

Do they make a magic potion to get a 7 month old to sleep?

If they do, we need it... in large quantities. Since we've returned from our trip, T has not wanted to nap or sleep through the night alone. He'll nap fine in our bed, but that's not an option at night anymore considering he is the most unsettled sleeper ever.

Crazy nap hair.

Santa brought us a swing. He loves it. Here are a few pics.

For Courtney

Yes, Courtney, my hair is long now. I'm in negotiations with my hairdresser over my bangs. Has it been that long since we've seen each other that we have to post pictures online?:)

7 months

We can't believe it either. Thomas has gotten so big and interactive is such a short time. I look at Betsy and it seems so strange that Thomas was the same just 5 months ago. (We're talking about betrothing the two soon. I mean who could turn down her blue eyes and red hair? And then his eyes? I'm envisioning my grand kids already:)

So here are some recent stats. Thomas weighed in on our oh-so-technical scale at 17.5 lbs this morning. That means he's regained all the weight he lost during the recent plague.
Things we love about Thomas right now:
1) He loves hands. His fascinate him. Hours, well really minutes, of endless pleasure. Our hands entertain him daily. He loves to grab them and move our fingers around. Also, he loves to put ours to his face when he's tired.
2) He sings himself awake in the morning.
3) His laugh. Outside of the RSV, it's the most contagious thing about him. :)
4) When he sees a camera, he knows it's time to smile.
5) He will talk your ear off. I mean, he's our child, right? What did you expect?

Who me?

So, I haven't mastered the whole keeping food in my mouth yet...

Bundled up for the wagon.

He loves to bite mom's nose. No one else's, just mom's...

Handsome Man

A week in review...

So where did I leave off? Oh yeah, coming home from Colorado. Halle's well, Thomas still has a cough and we're finally all back in our proper homes.
We had another trip to the ER on Sunday. Apparently my kid knows A) when we're not home and B) when it's the weekend becuase that's the only time he's really sick. And oh, our new trick is to cry like our eardrum is ruptured again for hours on end and then make mom and dad look like they're crazy when we get to the dr's office... and smile the whole time.
Here are some pics from the rest of our trip.

Thomas' one picture without the garland in his mouth.

When we decided to come home early from Colorado, we stayed the night in Denver to get the first flight out on Thursday. Thomas' favorite thing at the hotel was to sit on the A/C, bang on the windows, and watch the cars going by.
