What a big boy!

Here's our first Newborn outfit. He's finally getting too big for premie onsies! Yea!

Hello, Freebirds? Yea, I want a monster burrito with steak and cheese. Just put it on my dad's account. Thanks. Peace out!

That's Dr. Evil- I didn't go to four years of evil medical school for nothing...

3 week pictures

Wednesday was a big day. Thomas hit his 3 week milestone and is starting to LOOK like he's putting on weight. He's also sleeping at longer intervals. I'm enjoying this at night, but Brandon's ears are still hyper-sensitive to every noise Thomas makes and isn't sleeping as well as he will be in the future. Thomas is also starting to coo and I think recognize us. He's so alert now when he's awake. I love the way he traces our faces with his eyes.
Milestones for mom and dad-
1-We're starting to learn the different songs (our version of the Kentucky Headhunters' Dumas Walker -let's all goooooo down to Thomas Walker's )and games he likes to play (jumping with dad...).
2- We've learned the hard way the only purpose Huggies diapers have is to get poop all over me.

2 weeks and counting

The little man is definitely waking up a lot more these days. Unfortunately, he's mostly awake when Brandon and I are trying to sleep. But, we're still loving every minute of it. We went to the pediatrician for his 2 week check-up and he passed with flying colors. He's gained a whole pound since we left the hospital. The kid knows how to eat! Here's some of his 2 week old pics. We can't believe how much he's changed since he was born.

Happy Father's Day

I know this is a little late, but I'm learning that a to do list is futile with a 2 week old. Pretty much his schedule is my schedule now. Thomas met Grandpa Powers for the first time at Aunt Julie and Uncle Justin's 30th birthday bash. And then Dad got the best Father's Day gift ever- a nap with the little one...
So- Happy Father's Day to Daddy, Big Al, Pop and Grandpa Powers!

Go Team!

Little Thomas loves to have his hands straight up... all the time. This proves to be a problem when we're trying to swaddle him! Needless to to say we should have seen this coming. His hands are on his face or in his mouth in every sonogram!

He's here!

Please join us in welcoming our bundle of joy! Thomas Walker Powers got here early Wednesday morning after an eventful night. We went to the hospital Tuesday evening at 8 and were admitted when Kristin's water broke. She dialated pretty quickly and was ready to deliver at 2 a.m. Thomas got in some trouble when Kristin started pushing at 2:15. But with the great doctors and nurses at Baylor, we had a baby by 2:21! We came home Friday afternoon and Mama B (Kristin's mom) is here helping for the week. Then Grammy (Brandon's mom) gets to step in and be on call for "grandmother" emergencies. Both grandpas are as proud as can be of their namesake.

Brandon and Thomas have already started planning their fishing trips to Wyoming! Get ready Jackson Hole- The Powers Boys are coming to town!
