Weekend with the kids
The Lewis' came to visit this weekend. The three D's had a blast with Brandon and Thomas. I was just a side note, mainly because I didn't provide the worms with which to fish and subsequently send to their untimely demise due to to decapitation. (Darren has a future in medicine, or at least in the biology dissection lab.)

Smooches!

Darren got hold of the camera. Can you tell who had a stomach bug?

Bath time!

I take it all back
So after I posted about Thomas saying "Dada" first, I got a very wise phone call from Ruth saying that one day I would pray for Thomas to only call for Brandon. Ladies and gentlemen, we are there. We have entered into the world of seperation anxiety where the only words that come out of his mouth at all hours are "mamamamamama." It's fun and all, but at 2a.m., I would pay good money for him to go to his daddy and not call out for me. Oh well, such is life and I wouldn't trade it for the world.
So Mama B, here are some pics for you.
This is how we spent most of the last two weeks. First it was the Omnicef, then it was the stomach bug. If we made it 3 hours in the same outfit, we were doing well. Thank goodness we're past this. I think we went through a whole bottle of Spray 'n Wash in a week...

Thomas has found Phoebe's kennel. The grate on the front is perfect for him to get his little fingers around and pull up, or hang on, depending on the mood.

NOT the best picture of me. However, this is the epitomy of my morning. Thomas wouldn't let me get 2 inches away from him. So, we sat in front of the mirror. Mom put on her makeup, T drank his bottle.

Streaker
9 months
Here are the stats. Thomas is 19.1 lbs (1 lb less than last week when we were at the doctor for, you guessed it, another ear infection) and 27.75 inches long. Considering I'm only 61 inches tall, my son, at 9 months, is almost half my height. I know you're laughing. That's okay. I am too.
His height and weight puts him in the 30-40%. Dr. Shori was impressed with motor skills and his eating habits. We've never been concerned, but today we were told we were doing a good job getting him to eat. We'll see how long it takes until he becomes a picky eater like his dad.
So I thought I'd show you how far he's come:
In the wagon at 2 weeks...

In the wagon, 9 months.

What a long, strange trip it's been
Mel, that's for you. We actually had a great trip to Houston. Brandon and I got to spend a great Saturday night with Franklin, Kelly, and Jim Bob at the Rodeo cookoff. Brandon did his best not to call it a "fair" all night. It was his first time. We'll forgive him, for now.
Thomas has moved into a big boy seat, however he's not old enough to face forward. The poor kid has his knees in his chest everytime we get in my car. I keep telling him only 3 more months and we can turn around. I think that means more to me right now than him. Can you believe he's already 9 months?

I read somewhere that I should encourage him to play with his food. They said I should use ketchup and mustard and help him learn red and yellow. They made no suggestions on how to clean up the condiment mess. However, he loved it. So it looks like this won't be the last time we finger paint with Heinz and French's.

I was letting Thomas play in front of the mirror in our bathroom while I was doing laundry. Of course I turned around and he was gone. I found him heading toward the toilet...
Busted!
