A Pea in the Pod

Julie and I took Halle and Thomas to the Flower Mound pumpkin patch on Friday. Who knew such fun was so close? Halle had a grand time in the bounce house (she wanted to be with the big kids. She was too cool for the little kid bounce house.) And she loved the pumpkin house. I know Thomas will enjoy it just as much next year when his mother doesn't have him dressed up in a costume in 75 degree heat.

It's actually my 3rd pumpkin patch, but who's counting?

Standing was a little difficult in my get-up, but I made my mama proud when the passing traffic stopped to tell us how cute I was in my costume... multiple times.:)

These orange things fascinate me! This one's even my sized.

The obligatory Thomas the Train picture.

I vant your candy

Not a misspell. Just trying to show off his supercute vampire pumpkin shirt.

More Pumpkin patch

We went to the pumpkin patch in Alvin with all the cousins and my parents. Thomas loved to touch them... and Big Al loved to help him get close to them.

Ever try to wrangle cats?

Trying to get five kids to all cooridinate for a picture rivals getting bi-partisan legislation through congress.
I know this looks like the same picture over and over again. And it is. But my sweet little cousins never cease to make me laugh. Darren's faces crack me up. Had to share them with you.

Naked baby

Who can resist pictures of a Naked T?

This fist tastes so good

I know it looks painful, but it makes him laugh to "pop" his whole fist out of his mouth.

Who could say no?

I'm in so much trouble. With these eyes, I'll never be able to tell him no.

4 month stats

Thomas had his four month check up and shots today. He's a trooper, even if Aunt Julie says little girls are tougher than boys after their shots!:)
He weighed in at a mighty 14.1 lb and is 24.5 inches long. Is it too soon to call him "Stretch?" I mean, with parents as vertically challenged as we are, this might be his only time in his life to be in the 50 percentile!

All things go straight to my mouth...

Daddy's favorite shirt...

Again, all things to the mouth...

Surprise face.

Did I mention a mouth theme?

What, there's a game on?

This is what he looks like if there is a game on, if there is a recap of a game, or if a game is being previewed...

Is there a football gene?

If there is, Thomas inherited it from me. I love college football. I mean looooooove college football. This is my favorite time of year. In fact, I have embarrassed Brandon on more than one occasion at Kyle field with my "enthusiastic" criticisms of (in no particular order):
  • the Aggie secondary's ability, or lack there of, to tackle
  • Fran's play calling
  • the lack of penalty calling on behalf of the ref's
  • Fran's lack of adjustments at half time

Well, I was made a really proud mama yesterday. After visiting the Walkers in the morning, Thomas and I settled in for a great day of college football. This included the OU/tu game, Kansas/KState, A&M/OSU, ,and LSU/Florida.

My little man got upset every time Colt McCoy did well and "cheered" when OU scored. My heart swelled. He already knows that burnt orange is bad. Really, really bad.

But then, and this was witnessed by Tevon and Tollie, Thomas got really upset anytime he could not see the Aggies. Even when we were down 0-17 and the rest of the free world assumed the game was over, Thomas hung in there. He wouldn't give in to his heavy eyelids. He fought off the sleepies until A&M pulled ahead. We should have known then that all was well in College Station. He startled a little when LSU won. Smiled for the Thompson crew in Baton Rouge, and then dreamed of pigskins the rest of the night.

Sunday morning fun

Introducing the star of Mimi's cafe...

We try to go to breakfast with Grammy and Pop on Sunday's when we're all in town. The last two times we've been to Mimi's, Thomas has required an outfit change mid pumpkin pancake. Grammy and Pop, we might have to try a new breakfast place if this keeps up- I don't know if they'll let us back in!

baby's first mohawk

Can you see it? He finally has enough "hair" for a stylish bathtime do!
I would love to say my child is so advanced that he is doing "itsy, bitsy" already, but this is just him playing with his new found toys- his hands.

Thomas' version of the Heisman pose.
