Thomas has officially moved into the stage of needing more than what Mama can give him. I've been so excited (and so has Julie) the last month because he's started going longer between feedings and taking more milk at each feeding. Then, after the E.R. visit, he decided 8 oz of milk every 4 hours wasn't enough. In fact, 8 oz wasn't enough every 3 hours. (Can you say growth spurt?) So, we've started the rice cereal. Brandon and I were kind of nervous about the first "spoon" feeding, but it was all in vain. As you can see, he was more than ready to eat from the spoon.

Helping Mama get it to his mouth...

"What took you guys so long? I've been trying to tell you I dig the spoon and you just weren't catching my vibe!"

Not only was this his first real cereal, this is his first time in his high chair. It dwarfs him. But that's what they make safety straps and bumbos for...
By the way, at the his check up on Wednesday he got the all clear on his ears. He also weighed in at 16lb and 4 oz. That's 8 oz more than last week...
